Laurie holds a Master’s degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy (2018) and qualified as a medical herbalist in 2025 after five years of part-time study. He is registered with the GOsC and is a member of ICAK-UK, NIMH, and the Institute of Osteopathy.
Whilst still a student at the European School of Osteopathy, Laurie undertook additional training on weekends with ICAK-UK (Applied Kinesiology) to refine his diagnostic skills. He was the first osteopath in the UK to complete this postgraduate course while still an undergraduate.
By combining osteopathic examination with Applied Kinesiology (advanced muscle testing), Laurie identifies subtle dysfunctions that are often the root cause of problems. He uses structural, functional, visceral (organ), and cranial techniques to treat these imbalances.
This tailored, gentle approach is highly effective—many patients are surprised by how such light touch can lead to such meaningful results.
Laurie also uses Applied Kinesiology to help prioritise which herbs to include in a patient’s prescription.
Laurie treats people of all ages—from babies and children to athletes, office workers, pregnant women, and older adults. Laurie also provided pitch-side first aid for a local rugby team for five years.
LAURIE’S STORY
Laurie hails from a truly osteopathic background—his grandfather, uncle, and father were all leading osteopaths and medical herbalists.
Some of the UK’s most respected osteopaths were also close family friends. He considers himself fortunate to have been surrounded by osteopathy and herbal medicine from an early age, as this exposure sparked his interest and shaped his path.
Laurie spent his childhood in the UK before moving to Germany during his teenage years. Before returning to England to study osteopathy, Laurie spent a year in India volunteering as an assistant teacher in a village school.
During his osteopathy studies, Laurie ran a student society for two years, inviting guest lecturers to speak. This gave him a unique opportunity to connect with some of the UK’s leading osteopaths and learn from their expertise.
In 2025, after five years of part-time study alongside his osteopathic work, Laurie qualified as a medical herbalist.
When Laurie is not in clinic, he enjoys hiking, sailing, playing football, climbing, backpacking, reading or listening to music.

Specialities & Expertise
One of my favourite things about being an osteopath is when patients recommend me to their family and friends. It’s deeply rewarding to figure out what’s going on, help someone feel better, and then see that trust passed on to others.
When I was small, I wanted to be an osteopath because I thought it was incredible what my father could do to help people. I still feel that sense of awe today. I also love that I get to use both my hands and my head—and I’m grateful not to be stuck behind a desk!
With herbal medicine, I enjoy many aspects of the practice, but one of my favourite things is the smell of fresh herbs and ointments—it connects me to the natural world. I also love that I can support a patient’s internal physiology with herbs, while osteopathy helps me address their structural balance.
Applied Kinesiology ties it all together. It allows me to fine-tune my diagnosis and prioritise treatment—whether structural, functional, or physiological—based on the individual needs of the person in front of me.
I combine Applied Kinesiology (a form of advanced muscle testing) with Osteopathy to provide highly individualised and effective treatment.
Applied Kinesiology helps identify underlying dysfunctions—whether structural, chemical, or emotional—that may not be obvious in a standard physical exam.
By integrating this with hands-on osteopathic techniques, I can tailor each session to the patient’s specific needs and get to the root of the problem more efficiently.
This holistic, responsive approach often leads to quicker and longer-lasting results—even with complex or chronic musculoskeletal issues.
In herbal medicine appointments, I also use AK to help prioritise which herbs to include in a prescription—making the treatment as targeted and personalised as possible.
Whether I’m working structurally, physiologically, or both, my aim is always to support the body’s natural ability to heal.
